Chemical composition:
The rhizome contains about 1% volatile oil. There are 40 kinds of components in the oil, accounting for 93.64% of the volatile oil, of which the main component is ligustilide (ligustilide) accounting for 58%, 3-butyl phthalide (3-butylphthalide) 5.29% and sabinene (sabinene) 6.08%.
Taste and Attribution:
Pungent, warm in nature. It belongs to liver, gall bladder and pericardium meridian.
Functions and Indications:
Activate blood circulation, dispel wind and relieve pain. Used for calming nerves, headache, abdominal pain in the abdomen, thoracic stabbing pain, swelling pain, headache, rheumatic paralysis.
